In The Garden Baby Shower

I was absolutely delighted when asked to design an invitation for Katie ( and baby Annie's) baby shower. It was thrown in the garden of Katie's parents house, which is a gorgeous location and extremely relaxing and serene. When given the task of designing the invite I was given a color scheme of pink...more pink oh an a little yellow, teal and orange as well as the flower peonies and mums, paisley baby bedding and chalkboards and other somewhat "vintage" pieces. Somewhat a hodge podge of information which was...perfect! Luckily I had just come across some imagery to use for my new website and thought this was another place to bring in distressed white wood, florals, paisley and of course PINK!

The shower itself was beautiful thanks to Katies wonderful team of planners.

The centerpieces were also the prizes for games
The favors were teacups

A lot of the menu was gluten free, and delicious!

An Antique Baby Shower for Melissa and Baby Wyatt

So this entry is looooong overdue. This beautiful shower was done in July, Baby Wyatt is no longer a newborn but a fun and curious little infant. But this adorable antique baby shower was just too good not to post. It was based on Melissa and Ryan's ideas for Wyatt's nursery- red, yellow and blue color scheme with antique toys and sports. Hard to imagine putting those all together- until you see the   photos ( and you should see the darling nursery- it turned out amazing).

I designed the invitation but the rest was done by her other adoring and creative friends. I think you will love it as much as I do!

Baby Shower for the Sweet Tooth

There have been some big changes in my life since the last post, my husband and I have welcomed a beautiful baby girl into this world on July 4th. But before the baby girl was the beautiful baby shower- hosted by my sister in law:) I, of course, did the invites and stationery- but the rest was all wendie. A fun candy theme called "sweet baby girl" couldn't be more fitting with my love of all things sweet. From gourmet cupcakes to "mocktinis" and swizzle sticks, it was a sugary shower to die for. She didn't miss a detail. Cute quotes popped up everywhere and even the prize bags matched. To counter the sweets was a savory bar full of salads, sandwiches and even a mash potato bar. Menus were at every setting and any candy you could think of adorned the sweet table. It was a wonderful way to celebrate our little girl. Take a look and be inspired!

Baby Shower Decor and Inspiration

I am in the middle of trying to plan my sister in laws baby "sprinkle". I aspire to create beautiful settings that are unique and inspiring, but I will be the first to admit that this is a work in progress. In my attempt to create a beautiful setting for this baby "sprinkle" I scoured the internet looking for ideas and inspiration. To save you time and energy I am posting some of the inspiration I found along the way. One thing I noticed was that I was drawn to the beautiful decor that was shown when a long table was created with the theme sprinkled throughout the center. It helped to create a theme, add color and texture and allow for uniqueness, like this beach theme. There are also more simple and elegant styles that I loved like this green one. Beautiful showers don't mean expensive showers. Creating chinese laterns or paper flowers are a great way to fill space and make a beautiful atmosphere whether you are having your event inside, or outside during the day or evening.
