An Antique Baby Shower for Melissa and Baby Wyatt

So this entry is looooong overdue. This beautiful shower was done in July, Baby Wyatt is no longer a newborn but a fun and curious little infant. But this adorable antique baby shower was just too good not to post. It was based on Melissa and Ryan's ideas for Wyatt's nursery- red, yellow and blue color scheme with antique toys and sports. Hard to imagine putting those all together- until you see the   photos ( and you should see the darling nursery- it turned out amazing).

I designed the invitation but the rest was done by her other adoring and creative friends. I think you will love it as much as I do!

A Little Boy Baby Shower for the Ciervo's

A While back I posted an image of an invite I did for a dear friend of mine for her baby shower. She wanted it to go with her nursery decor which is light blue, cream and brown. And so we went with a cute argyle look. It was an open house style shower, very laid back ( just like her). With sweet tea, lemonade and delicious treats ( the chocolate covered strawberries and cupcakes were to die for). There weren't games, but a fun station to iron on decals to onesies that said things like "chick magnet". There was also a place to decorate a scrapbook page and write a prayer or message. Another very talented friend Lisa Miller used her professional backround as a photographer to use and took beautiful photos to add to the event. Those are the ones you see here. Congratulations April and Jordan, I can't wait to meet your little man!

More Baby Announcements

I recently had the opportunity to work with a wonderful photographer named Angela who is the owner of Casually Candid Photography. She did some beautiful photos of our family ( some seen in my baby announcement from the previous post) and I designed some exclusive birth announcements for her to use. It was a great chance for me to get more announcements under my belt. All the photography is by Angela. Check them out:

All Things Baby...& Announcements

Lately my life has been all things baby. Having a new little bundle of joy definitely turns your world upside down. Sleep is lacking, most days are a success if I have taken a shower and maybe cleaned the dishes. So designing my own baby announcement took longer than it probably should have, she is almost 3 months old and I just now sent them. But it was designed with love and is unique and personal and full of cute photos from when my daughter was only 10 days old.

I loved designing it and hope to design a lot more announcements for little ones and their parents. If you are interested in a unique design feel free to contact me: Melissa@whimsique.com. I will be posting more announcement designs I did for Casually Candid Photography as well as this one on my website soon! www.whimsique.com

Baby Shower for the Sweet Tooth

There have been some big changes in my life since the last post, my husband and I have welcomed a beautiful baby girl into this world on July 4th. But before the baby girl was the beautiful baby shower- hosted by my sister in law:) I, of course, did the invites and stationery- but the rest was all wendie. A fun candy theme called "sweet baby girl" couldn't be more fitting with my love of all things sweet. From gourmet cupcakes to "mocktinis" and swizzle sticks, it was a sugary shower to die for. She didn't miss a detail. Cute quotes popped up everywhere and even the prize bags matched. To counter the sweets was a savory bar full of salads, sandwiches and even a mash potato bar. Menus were at every setting and any candy you could think of adorned the sweet table. It was a wonderful way to celebrate our little girl. Take a look and be inspired!
